‘England expects that every man will do his duty.’ – Horatio Lord Nelson (1758-1805)

A self-initiated project: following on from the current trend of the ‘Keep Calm and Carry On’ posters, I wanted to know why we’re no longer proud of our once great nation.

‘It took two or so minutes for me to put together this poster. Which is around the same amount of time it took this imbecile, to unzip his trousers, and urinate on the memorial of our fallen war soldiers. Where has our pride gone?’

Quote by Horatio Lord Nelson at the Battle of Trafalgar (1805), photo credit to © Images International Limited.

‘Sir, when a man is tired of London he is tired of life, for there is in London all the life can afford.’ – Samuel Johnson (1709-1784)

A self-initiated project, experimenting with type treatment based on the famous London quote by Dr. Samuel Johnson in 1777. Available as a poster, a postcard and other formats from notonthehighstreet.com.

A viral video created for the current Fosters campaign, ‘Get some Australian in you’, whilst on work placement at M&C Saatchi, London. I worked with another creative on the video.

A bi-annual magazine for the Winchester Army Training Regiment. An ongoing freelance job; Winchester ATR enlisted my services to come up with a name, logo and style for their magazine, to be given to junior soldiers when they leave the training regiment. Seen as ‘best practice’ by the Army.

D&AD Student Awards 09, In Book Winner

A direct mail pack for an integrated advertising campaign to demonstrate the marketing power of the mobile phone to advertising creatives. The campaign follows the story of Bobby, a 16-24 year old who swallows his phone and with it mobile advertising. I worked with another creative on this brief.

The direct mail pack is further supported by, a press advert in industry paper Campaign Magazine, which acts as a pre-cursor to the campaign and a Bluetooth tricycle, which would visit one of London’s top advertising agencies for duration of the campaign, and beam advert examples to creatives’ phones.

A television storyboard and series of billboards, for a brief set by advertising agency Wieden + Kennedy, to advertise Persil in its purest form, washing powder. I worked with other creatives on this brief.

Billboard adverts from the rest of the campaign including – ‘Just Add Riots’, ‘Just Add Car Washes’, as well as ‘Just Add Puddles’.

A set of three exhibition stands to promote the country’s leading paper merchant, and their commitment to reducing the impact of wastage on the environment. Each stand represents a different part of PaperCo – service & locality, green-thinking’ and recycling services.

In addition to the exhibition stands, PaperCo would hand a sheet of paper which can be made into a die. The die has suggestions as to what a paper user can do with their used sheet of paper before they recycle it. It also acts as a driver to the PaperCo web site, with alternative usage suggestions online.

A set of three crisp boxes for a new and innovative brand celebrating Great British roasts. Each box features a unique character with a corresponding flavour, including – roast pork & apple sauce, roast lamb & mint sauce, and roast beef & horseradish.

Each crisp box opens up into a sharing plate for everyone to enjoy. The box’s character also extends around the box as it is opened in a light-hearted manner.
